BT and Sharedband Collaborate to Launch ADSL Service
Lincolnshire businesses can now enjoy speedier ADSL broadband as result of a bonded ADSL service that has been set up by BT, in partnership with Sharedband.
The companies have joined hands to deliver broadband speeds of up to four ADSL lines attached to the customer’s building. This new service is being publicised as just the right thing for aiding applications meant particularly for business, such as virtual private networks. One can also carry out functions of off-site data back-up, video conferencing and VOIP conveniently with this new service.
Stephen Heath, the IT manager of Househam Sprayer, a business located in Lincolnshire, explained that the new technology had indeed been a great help to them. He said that they were now getting 2MB upstream speeds instead of the much lower speeds that were offered by other services, and that the download speed was now twofold. Besides, the technology was exceptionally compatible with their Virtual Private Network service, which enabled them to get a fast access to the internet and made a protected entry in to their network available to their users in remote locations.
Users based in rural locations too will be able to take advantage of this service. However, the service would be at a slightly lower speed if they happen to stay far away from the local telephone exchange.
