Halloween usually falls on a weekday, so many are “dead on their feet” from working all day. Set up a low maintenance buffet heavy with
halloween treats . Food that you can fix ahead of time and will serve a lot of people at the party, such as a soft cheese spread served in a skull bowl, is perfect! Look for a store that sells skull pans, skeleton gelatin molds, and much more in the way of mortuary trinkets. Choose a few of skull pans, and use one for the skull-mold cheese appetizer, and the other one to make a frightful skull cake for dessert. Finish the buffet with veges and dip, and some “food on the bone,” such as Buffalo wings.
There are lots tasty selections when it comes to Halloween party goodies. If desired, you could have an entire table complete of ghoul bites for your childrens celebration. Here are some themes to help inspire your menu. Make popular children’s sandwiches, such as PB&J or grilled cheese, and cut them into ghostly shapes with a ghoul cookie cutter. Keep out the cookie cutter to utilize on slices of mozzarella cheese to top homemade pizzas.
Halloween would not be the same without a (non-alcoholic) drink for the children. If this one is likeable to the adults also, just add 2 oz. cranberry or orange-flavored vodka to the brew when it is added to the glass, and stir. You will need five cups apple-cranberry juice, 1 cup pineapple juice, 1 cup orange juice, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 teaspoons whole cloves, liberal dash of allspice. Get to a boil in a saucepan, and then lessen heat and simmer for about ten to fifteen minutes. Pour Out into mugs, checking out the brew has cooled off enough to be drink-able. And voila! Witches Brew sure to excite both youngsters and grownups!
